David K. Winter

Dr. David Winter, serves as the chief executive officer, with full responsibility for the total intellectual, physical, moral and spiritual program of the school. He represents the school to the public, particularly the Santa Barbara community, and seeks the support, including the financial support, of parents, local churches, key leaders, and special friends of the school.

Dr. Winter taught at Wheaton College, was a tenured professor at Michigan State University, Academic Vice President of Whitworth College, and President of Westmont College for 25 years. He was a leader on the founding board of the Oaks Christian High School in Westlake Village. He and his wife, Helene, are active members of the El Montecito Presbyterian Church.

As Academic Dean, Tim Loomer is directly responsible for the instructional program at Providence Hall, including curriculum, faculty, and student life programs. Mr. Loomer provides outstanding leadership and strives to ensure that a tenor of rigor and excellence permeates all that we do. He comes to us with 14 years of experience in education, including teaching and coaching at both the high school and community college level, and serving as a school administrator.

Athletic Director/Dean of Students:

As Athletic Director Coach Luberto oversees all facets of the Providence Hall athletics program and co-ordinate such with the policies and calendar of the CIF. Coach Luberto works diligently to cultivate student interests in sports teams. Currently, Providence Hall has two sports teams each season: Cross Country and Girls Volleyball in the Fall, Boys Basketball and Girls Basketball in the Winter, and Track and Field in the Spring. In addition to sports teams, Providence Hall provides after school fitness pursuit opportunities such as surfing, sailing, pilates, ultimate, and soccer.

As Dean of Students Keith Luberto works closely with students and not only maintains a high standard of behavior, but also challenges students to develop mature patterns of relationship with fellow students and the faculty and staff.

Applying to colleges takes lots of time, energy, and expertise. Providence Hall offers a four-year comprehensive college guidance program. Mrs. Loomer, our college counselor, works closely with students and their families to guide them in exploring and applying to excellent colleges across the country.
