Providence Hall, an independent college preparatory school, takes for its foundation the Lordship of Jesus Christ and the Bible, the word of God. Established on the belief that all truth is God’s and derives from him, Providence Hall seeks to challenge young men and women to grow in the knowledge of Jesus Christ, from whom all wisdom and understanding emanate. The faculty and staff of Providence Hall are committed to living, learning, and working together in accordance with the truth and authority of biblical principles to nurture their students’ intellect, spiritual growth, and character development. Providence Hall is dedicated to the education of the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—and to the pursuit of truth, beauty, and excellence in all of schooling and life. The training of the mind is the core of the school’s educational philosophy, equipping our students to excel academically as well as to become beacons of wisdom and leadership in a culture of continuous and rapid change. To that end, the school emphasizes the basic fundamentals of strong writing, analytical skills, and independent thinking throughout an interdisciplinary curriculum; it includes not only formation in the subjects traditional to the arts and sciences but also those such as logic, ethics, and computer/digital literacy so necessary for higher education and professional fields. Our intentionally small classes and gifted faculty offer a superlative education, expecting their best from all students and from each uniquely. In every phase of their schooling at Providence Hall, students are challenged and guided by the faculty to regard their lives and their learning through the lens of a Christian world-and-life-view, to think Christianly about all things, to seek to understand God’s truth about himself and about the world of his creation. The pursuit of truth and excellence in the education of the mind, body, and spirit at Providence Hall extends equally to co-curricular opportunities, which include Having opened its doors in the fall of 2007, Providence Hall invites applications from students of all socio-economic, ethnic, racial, and religious backgrounds to become a part of a vibrant community of mutual respect in which to live, learn, and work joyfully.
