1. What type of school is Providence Hall?
The school will offer its students in grades 9-12 an empowering college preparatory curriculum built around core subjects, taught from a distinctly Christian worldview, and stressing the ability to think clearly and logically, research and write effectively, and work independently, in preparation for a life of leadership and service of others.

2. Where is the school located?
Providence Hall is located in the stately downtown, historic building at 33 E. Micheltorena Street, on the campus it shares with the Notre Dame School.

3. What are the co-curricular programs such as athletics, drama, and music?
Providence Hall seeks to be a place where its students can explore the range of their gifts and interests, feeling safe to explore and share them with others through performance, team competition, and other means. Each student has the have opportunity for and is strongly encouraged to participate in at least one athletic sport and in at least one public performance program each year.

4. How do prospective students apply?
Students are welcome to begin the application process immediately by downloading the Application for Admission here.  Students and parents can contact the school by calling 805.962.4400 with more specific questions regarding the process.

5. When will they know they have been accepted?
Admission to Providence Hall uses a “rolling admissions” process in which students will normally be informed of their status within 30 days of satisfactory completion of the entrance requirements, including scores from a nationally-normed entrance exam widely characteristic of admission to private high schooling.

6. How much does it cost for students to attend Providence Hall?
Tuition and fees to attend the school are competitive with other private schools in the Santa Barbara area which have earned a reputation for quality college preparatory programs.

7. Is there any help if a family can’t afford the school’s tuition?
Families whose financial circumstances lead them to believe they would be unable to afford the full cost of private-school tuition should definitely still apply. In a manner quite similar to that of colleges and universities, Providence Hall uses an established third-party agency to process a confidential application for tuition assistance, which determines and informs the school of the amount each family can be expected to pay based upon family income and relevant circumstances.

8. What type of student is the school seeking?
Providence Hall welcomes applications from students who will accept challenges to grow in the intellectual, spiritual, physical, and social attributes of their character and personality, who are forward-thinking regarding the value of their schooling, who are willing to develop their gifts and talents to serve others and God, and for whom the challenge of partnering with their mentors in developing a new school is appealing.

9. What if a student has a somewhat different learning style?
Because many college-bound students have some degree of different learning styles, Providence Hall is committed to accommodating these differences in learning styles where it can do so by seeking specifically-qualified faculty and by providing on-going training for their colleagues.
