Parents
Excellent communication is highly valued at Providence Hall. Parents are encouraged to talk with the Headmaster and the Academic Dean regarding any suggestion or concern they may have. These officers correspond regularly with all the parents by means of email messages and newsletters.
Parents Council
At Providence Hall we believe that learning is best accomplished when the parents are genuinely involved in the educational experience of their son or daughter. The Parents Council provides guidance to the school but also support for its many activities, both in and out of the classroom.
The Parents Council assists in the development of a student and parent handbook, the school calendar, and school directories. They assist in the beginning all-school picnic each Fall, coordinate rides to school, and serve as an important resource for many of the school decisions including the dress code and behavioral expectations.
Parents Academy
The Academic Dean sponsors the Parents Academy, where parents meet with the faculty to learn about coursework taught at Providence Hall. Each Academy highlights a different aspect of the curriculum or topic of interest to parents. As parents learn more about coursework, assignments, and literature they are empowered with strategies for how to enrich the learning by discussing coursework with their son or daughter.
InfoNow
Through an excellent software program called InfoNow, both students and parents can log in and check the homework assignments, attendance, grades, and comments from faculty members, at any time. In addition, students and parents can check the updated school calendar, upcoming activities and athletic competitions, and resources for college guidance.
