Student Life

Activities
Providence Hall is committed to creating a community that fosters unity and friendship. A number of opportunities are provided:  All-School Retreat, Lions Fest, The Philia Project, spirit days, school dances, talent shows, service trips, college tours, vocal concerts, theater performances, and a host more, often conceived and planned by students themselves.

Orientation and Retreat
Every fall, Providence Hall welcomes its incoming students to campus for two days of special events and meetings including new-student and all-parent orientations, Convocation, and the First Walk.  Orientation at Providence Hall culminates in the All-School Retreat in late September, a tradition that students look forward to each year.

Clubs
A range of clubs offer valuable activities for all students. Club offerings include Associated Student Body (ASB), Chamber Choir, Economics Club, Hiking Club, Journalism Club, Scribblers (Writing Club), Yearbook Club, Photography Club, and Theater Club. Students are encouraged to propose new clubs.

Associated Student Body
The ASB is dedicated to developing and modeling student leadership, representing the student body on an administrative level, giving ear to their voice, providing service opportunities, and facilitating school-wide events and activities for all grades.

“I like that faith is part of everything at this school. It is really integrated and we are able to have open conversations about faith.”

~Ashley, Class of 2015

“I haven’t just increased my knowledge of faith, but I have developed the skills to apply what I know intellectually in practical, everyday situations. Everyone at Providence Hall is so open to sitting down and talking about anything: whether it is about God, or just about stuff that is going on in your life. “

~ Madeleine, Class of 2015

“ At Providence Hall, we are constantly challenged by speakers and teachers who tackle difficult subjects. Due to those challenges, we are constantly growing in faith.”

~Laurelle, Class of 2015

“With strong academics, good friendships, and a deepened relationship with Christ, Providence Hall definitely prepared me for college—and for the rest of my life.”

~ Austin, Class of 2012

“The All-School Retreat was so much fun. I loved meeting all the new students. We had lots of contests and we had to pull together as a team or the games didn’t work.“

~ Natali, Class of 2017

“The supportive and loving Providence Hall community gives me the courage to take risks, try new things, and explore the world of ideas. One of the great things about Providence Hall is our community of students and teachers.”

~ Tenley, Class of 2013
