IT’S NOT WINNING TOGETHER OR LOSING TOGETHER. IT’S STRIVING TOGETHER, COMPETING TOGETHER. COMPETITION THAT CHANGES YOU FOR THE BETTER.
We work hard. We play hard. We play to win. There is much to be experienced on the court or the field, in being part of a competitive team with a common goal.
Providence Hall’s competitive CIF athletic program is committed to encouraging excellence on the court or field and in life. In a variety of ways, Providence Hall challenges athletes who are at the top of their game and engages athletes who are new to the sport. Our goal is to give each student a chance to grow in athletic skill, experience high-level competition, and benefit from the camaraderie that comes with school sports. Since our founding in 2007, Providence Hall teams and athletes have enjoyed significant achievements. Continued athletic success comes as the school devotes itself to encouraging coaches and athletes to live lives of character and commitment.
The Lions athletic program shapes players into people of character. Sports is a vehicle through which our coaches strive to teach young men and women important life skills, including leadership, teamwork, responsibility, and perseverance. Athletes leave our program with more than specific athletic skills; they take with them a college preparatory education, respect for hard work, deeper self-awareness, the ability to play at the next level of athletic competition, and the confidence to positively impact their next community.
Welcome to Providence Hall Lions athletics! We strive to represent our Lord and our school with honor and integrity, and compete at the state level in all of our sports programs. We provide a setting where student-athletes develop both as players and as individuals, demonstrating that pursuit of excellence on the playing field is fully compatible with pursuit of excellence in the classroom.
Providence Hall coaches have been chosen for their knowledge, experience, and expertise in their sport. More importantly, Providence Hall coaches desire to disciple young people and challenge them to grow in the knowledge of Jesus Christ. Our coaches look for “teachable moments” and will conduct consistent devotions and prayer time.
Tremendous benefits can be attained by participating in sports. A national headhunter for Fortune 500 companies once said the number one question asked by employers seeking an employee is, “Did they play team sports?”
